Ícone
Rua Uirapuru, Jardim Faculdade, Sorocaba – SP, Brasil
Located in the southern zone of Sorocaba, in the interior of São Paulo state, Ícone Planeta stands out in the landscape for its height and unique volumetry, making it visible from various points throughout the city and surrounding areas.
The region has been undergoing significant transformation, with large-scale developments taking root and attracting residents seeking new housing options and lifestyle choices. With an urban focus on open spaces and promoting urban friendliness, the project fosters a pleasant relationship between pedestrians and the glazed lobby. This is further enhanced by integration with a garden open to the city, resulting in minimal use of walls and fences.
The residential tower features a triangular layout of three apartments per floor, harmoniously adapted to the angled plot. This configuration provides unobstructed views, natural light, and cross ventilation for all units. Large terraces and corner windows contrast with the more solid bedroom façades, emphasizing the building’s prominent structural grid and lending lightness to the whole.
The architectural composition includes setbacks along the height of the building, which are continuously illuminated at night using power from photovoltaic panels—reinforcing the tower’s role as a city landmark. Like a beacon, Ícone Planeta becomes a new urban reference in Sorocaba.
