    Artesano Oscar Porto

Rua Coronel Oscar Porto 507, Paraíso, São Paulo, Brasil

Located at Rua Coronel Oscar Porto, 507, on a corner lot with Rua Sampaio Viana, the project by Königsberger Vannucchi in partnership with R.Yazbek is set in the heart of Paraíso, a neighborhood that combines the infrastructure of a metropolis with the comfort of a tree-lined residential area. A short walk from Paraíso metro station and just minutes from Ibirapuera Park, these surroundings that blend the dynamism of Avenida Paulista with the tranquility of green streets inspired an architecture that prioritizes integration with the landscape, elongated sightlines, and the enjoyment of urban space. The strategic placement of the single tower at the corner end was decisive in capturing the visual axis of the tree-lined corridor along Rua Sampaio Viana, freeing up the center of the plot for a generous elevated leisure area.

The Artesano’s occupancy concept also stands out for its diversity of uses and scales. A large portion of the building’s podium is composed of compact studio units, which function as an autonomous operation with independent access and their own leisure area. This configuration responds to a specific urban profile without interfering with the living experience of the high-end residential units, and contributes to the vitality of the complex at different times of the day.

The residential tower, which begins above the podium, comprises 21 floors with two units per floor, totaling 40 standard apartments of 181 m² and 2 duplex penthouses of 316 m². Each unit offers three suites, a spacious living room, and a gourmet balcony integrated with the kitchen, complete with a built-in barbecue and air-conditioning connection point. Floor plan customization is a design requirement: residents can choose to expand the living room by eliminating one suite, or opt for full kitchen integration, choices made possible by flexibility, an essential feature in high-end products seeking to cater to different lifestyles. The residential entrance is generous, featuring an “urban kindness” of large benches beside a beautiful tropical garden.

Layers of transparency at the entrance provide security and visual contact with the street.

The architectural language of Artesano is marked by attention to detail and a materiality that favors warmth and coziness. The extensive windows on the sides and front of the living room ensure abundant natural light, cross-ventilation, and a unique spatial perception, with framed views of the neighborhood’s greenery. At ground level, the facade evokes traditional neighborhood retail, with burgundy awnings and inviting shop-window openings of varying sizes and formats, creating an affective, human-scale atmosphere. This feeling is reinforced by the exposed bricks cladding part of the podium and the tower, an aesthetic choice that recalls the traditional architecture of European cities, such as the old houses of London, lending texture and warmth to the ensemble.

Environmental comfort solutions were integrated into the design. The flower boxes with automatic irrigation installed alongside the windows materialize the biophilic concept that permeates the building, bringing greenery into the units and filtering natural light. Acoustic treatment in the private areas and acoustic ceiling lining in the bathrooms enhance everyday performance and comfort. In the leisure area, the elevated sixth floor positions the solarium, swimming pool, and pub with barbecue at the exact height of the treetops, creating a green refuge ambiance that enjoys the neighborhood skyline as a backdrop.
